Steroid Implants

Nasal polyps are rooted in inflammation. Anti-inflammatories such as steroids have long been used to treat nasal polyps. Unfortunately, there are many side effects with systemic steroid utilization for prolonged periods of time. As a result, the Propel steroid implant is an excellent treatment option to provide the benefits of steroids, without the risk of systemic steroid therapy.

Steroid sinus implants are designed for those patients who have had prior sinus surgery. Within the implant is a steroid that eludes over time, reducing the inflammation, scarring, and polyps in the sinuses. The implant is bioabsorbable meaning that over time the implant will dissolve.

The implant can be placed in select patients in the office. No time off work or school is required nor is there any recovery period.
